The IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship is the proving ground for the World's best young hockey Players. The excitement of past tournaments rivals that of the Olympics and it is the best hockey you will see at any level. The IIHF Junior Tournament is the biggest stage for Junior players to show they are NHL ready. The pressure at this tournament is tremendous and ensures that the level is incredible. Hockey Canada and the USA have been the powers in recent years, but Russia and the Czech Republic should have strong teams this year and will create a tremendous tournament this year. IIHF Jurnior Tournament starts on Boxing Day - the day after Christmas.

This Team looks to be one of the more talented Canada and the US have produced, the Americans boast one of the best offensive teams in the Tournament. They often lack the defensive prowess to win in tight games. Canada has the ability to score goals and grind out even the best teams in the Tournament. Russia, Canada and US often lose there top players as they are already playing in the NHL. 18 Yr old NHLers are rare and would often be the best players in the tournament. This speaks to the depth of Hockey in these three countries.
